Just a quick note to let you know we decided against purchasing the home on Seville. We are still breathing a sigh of relief that we hired you to do the inspection before we made a very costly mistake. I have since heard that the house has now been taken off of the market because of all the Termite damage you found and roofing and structural repairs that are needed. whew!!! I know you are thinking we have written with more questions for you, but Phillip and I finally made our decision and closed on the Orange Avenue property last week and just wanted to thank you for such an outsatnding job! You remained professional throughout this entire ordeal Joe, and we were especially impressed with your refusal to be intimidated by the Thompsons (or their Realtor). Your job must be hard at times, trying to please everybody at the same time, but you were fair and unbiased the entire time ,and I know everyone noticed that. We think you should also know that we did in fact get considerable credit at closing because of the condition of the swimming pool and equipment and we appreciate you finding those problems. Due to our parents’ age and mental state, we were understandably apprehensive about not being able to be there to assist them with the Inspection of their new Townhome, but we obviously made the right decision in hiring you. Job well done! I have had plenty of Building Inspections done in my days, but I have to say I have never observed such a thorough and comprehensive inspection peformed prior to yesterday. I am still amazed that you were able to access the crawl space under the house, but like you said, that is where a lot of significant defects can be found in those older structures. I am doubly glad that you were able to perform the Termite Inspection as well and that you noticed the Drywood Termite and moisture damage.
